Hello my friend and welcome to another product made by THAT company and painted by me.
Before I started on the real deal, I decided to warm up my skill with the baneblade turret.
This turret has been slightly modified (most of the bolts are gone) because washing them all is crazy.
Color scheme is nothing special, just prime with grey and based with sand color. Scratching by brush with German gray, and wash with (oil) burned umber.
First time magnetizing by the way 
But there are 2 great thing that I nailed today; search light and long barrel.
The search light was done with base coat of white and layer of Tamiya CLEAR blue and a centered with white ( lower PSI of course). This is called OSL (object source lighting), it is a common thing in the fantasy painting today and a lot of people are prone to get their hand on this technique.
This is my first try, of course, most of you expert will scream out: “dude, where is the other light” ( there is 2 lights in OSL: light from the source (orb, headlight, candle) and light that hit the object). Let just say that Im in my process of learning and shy from working on the second light.
Heat effect on barrel is something I always want to try, then came the baneblade, it is like New Year’s Day. In the real world, there is no such thing is over-over heat. But in the fantasy realm, your barrel glow hot white and you probably don’t care (you get space aids anyway).
The way I delivered this was (all in vallejo air) brown (4/4 of the selected section)> hot red ( ¾ of brown section) > orange (2/4 of hot red section)> medium yellow ( ¼ of orange section) > white (1/2 of that ¼)
I know the pattern is weird, to do this you need to eye the sections carefully, most of the number I mentioned above will never make sense on your hands-on. Try to visualize, research and watch/play bioshock infinite when picked up an SMG.
